Jessie Gallan, the oldest woman in Scotland, has unveiled her tips to a long life which may…well, enrage many men.
Experienced Jessie Gallan definitely knows the secret of longevity as she has found it out for herself during her 109-year life.

Her tips are quite different from Rob Lowe’s tricks to staying young as, instead of suggesting not to drink and work out, Jessie’s piece of advice is…avoiding men.
Yep! Scotland’s oldest woman, who has recently celebrated her 109th birthday, has revealed her theory of long and healthy life, which is based on eating porridge and staying away from men who “are just more trouble than they’re worth”.
“I also made sure that I got plenty of exercise, eat a nice warm bowl of porridge every morning and have never gotten married,” Jessie told the Daily Mail.
Though men may argue with her prescriptions, many of their female counterparts may not…but we should refer to women at this stage.
Whether you agree or not, this was Jessie’s own secret: living long by just avoiding men forever and staying utterly away from marriage.

Jessie was born on a two-room farm cottage in Aberdeenshire and left home when she was 13 to become a milkmaid and, while talking about her past memories, the centenarian told the newspaper: “It’s amazing to see how completely different the world is now from the one I grew up in.” And she is still going strong!
