President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi held a ministerial meeting, which brought Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and the ministers of petroleum and mineral resources, housing, supply and internal trade, electricity, water resources and irrigation, agriculture and land reclamation and transportation together in order to discuss the president’s upcoming visit to China.
The meeting talked about a number of domestic files and proposed projects that would be discussed during the president’s next visit to China.
Last month, Al-Sisi met with Meng Jianzhu, the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and secretary of Central Politics and Law Commission of the Communist Party of China, at the presidential headquarters in Cairo.
The Chinese envoy conveyed greetings on behalf of President Xi to President Al-Sisi and extended an official invitation to the president to visit China in December.
Jianzhu stressed the importance his country attaches to this visit as well as the keenness of President Xi in issuing directives to all bodies concerned to render it a success.
For his part, Al-Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to more Chinese investments in Egypt, especially in light of the projects currently being implemented by the Egyptian government, topped by the New Suez Canal.
On Sunday, an Egyptian delegation left to the Chinese capital of Beijing, to prepare for President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi’s visit.
