Egyptian Amina Ashraf nominated for Miss World 2014


Egyptian beauty Amina Ashraf has been nominated to compete for Miss World 2014 pageant which will be held on 14 December in London.

The nineteen-year old Amina was named Miss World Egypt during the beauty pageant competition ‘Gamalek Ya Masr’ held in Sharm El-Sheikh on 20 September.

“Amina’s life ambition is to travel the world and experience life to the fullest. Currently a student, she would love a career as a travel writer or a retail buyer to satisfy her traveling dreams,” the competition’s website reads about her profile.

“A compassionate person, she has worked on several programs raising awareness for HIV sufferers and drug addicts and she has spent the summer teaching children in Lebanon.”

The Miss Egypt 2014 event ‘Gamalek Ya Masr’ crowned the queens of its three international competitions: Miss Egypt 2014, Miss Earth Egypt 2014 and Miss World Egypt 2014 with each titleholder qualifying for the international competition to represent Egypt.

Many special guests attended this year’s final event including Stefania Fernandez, who won Miss Venezuela 2008 and Miss Universe 2009 titles, Miss Earth 2012 Tereza Fajksova, Miss Intercontinental 2013 Ektarina Plekhova, Miss Austria Earth 2013 Katia Wagner and Miss Tunisia 2014 Wahiba Arres.

While Amina Ashraf was crowned Miss World Egypt  2014, two other winners, Lara Debbane and Nancy Magdy, received the Miss Egypt and Miss Earth Egypt titles respectively during the ceremony.
