Israeli aircraft attacked 10 sites in Gaza in response to Palestinian rocket strikes from the Strip, Radio Israel reported on Sunday.
One of the sites targeted was a concealed weapons manufacturing site, the radio reported.
There were no immediate reports of casualties from the air strikes.
Last night, the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted five rockets launched at Beersheba, Ofakim and Ashkelon. Other rockets fell into open areas without causing casualties, Radio Israel said.
“The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) are prepared to defend the citizens of Israel from any threat and will continue to act decisively and as long as necessary until calm is restored,” the IDF said in a statement, adding that Hamas was responsible for the rocket attacks.
In a separate incident, the Palestinian Prisoner club said that Israeli forces arrested 60 Palestinians from the occupied territories after clashes between Israeli authorities and Palestinians erupted two days ago.
Israeli forces also arrested Tareq Abu Khdeir, age 15, north of Jerusalem after beating him, causing severe injuries requiring medical attention, the club added. Tareq is the cousin of Mohamed Abu Khdeir who was kidnapped and murdered last week.

Israeli authorities have imposed a 9-day house arrest on Tareq and set bail at 3,000 shekels in addition to a third-party bail of 10,000 shekels, the club noted.
The US denounced the act of aggression against the 15-year old teen who is an American national, and asked the Israeli government to conduct an investigation into the matter immediately.
