Billionaire Markus “Notch” Persson, creator of the computer game ‘Minecraft’, has bought the most expensive house in Beverly Hills, winning the bidding competition against stars Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé.

This is the kind of luxurious house that you see while leafing through magazines without even trying to imagine that it could be yours or believe that that dream may come true. But for some people like the Swedish video-game developer, that dream can simply be a true reality.

Yep! Because Persson has just paid $70m — in cash — to buy the 23,000 square foot mansion which reportedly has 15 bathrooms and eight bedrooms while boasting the most stunning view of Los Angeles and Malibu Beach.

Jay Z and Beyoncé, who had also had their eyes on the property, have missed out on enjoying the view, walking away from the bidding war empty-handed as Persson was reportedly ready to close the big deal in just six days.

The ‘Minecraft’ creator, who has made $2.5 billion from selling his ‘Mojang’ company to Microsoft, seems not to have wasted time and has already moved into the mansion as shown by the picture he posted on Twitter:
