Johnny Depp reportedly injured his hand over the weekend in Australia, where he is filming the latest movie: ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’.
Details about the actor’s injury have yet to be revealed, however, he is to fly back to the US for medical treatment and surgery.
According to media outlets, the accident did not occur while Depp was filming or on the set of the fifth installment of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise, wherein the most beloved pirate is going to reprise his role as the well-known Captain Jack Sparrow.

But no worries Captain Jack fans, production of the movie, which began shooting last month, will be only “minimally impacted” as the scheduled release date of July 2017 is expected to remain unchanged.
Returning cast members such as Geoffrey Rush (Barbossa), Kevin R. McNally (Joshamee Gibbs) and Stephen Graham (Scrum) will be joined by newcomers for the new film including Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites.
In the upcoming film, Depp will find himself facing off against the deadly ghost pirates led by terrifying Captain Salazar when they escape from the Devil’s Triangle to kill every pirate at sea among whom Captain Jack Sparrow is obviously included.
