Johnny Depp on his recent flops

Though fans may be disappointed and criticize the star of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ for his recent turkeys, he honestly…“doesn’t give a f***”.

Talented and renowned actor Johnny Deep has definitely not reached the end of his career on the big screen. Then again, the Oscar-nominated star hasn’t been experiencing one of the best moments of his career considering his recent flops.

The Lone Ranger, ‘Dark Shadows’ and Transcendence are certainly not among the box office hits as they have left many wanting more while also marking a failure for the actor, which meant making much less than what was expected.

But you know what? Depp is not worried at all. He doesn’t even feel regretful as he recently revealed that he “doesn’t give a f***”.

Speaking out about his approach to his career, he told Details magazine, “What is really satisfying is, like Marlon, getting to that place where he just didn’t give a f***,” while referring to American actor Marlon Brando, one of his idols who also made several flops towards the end of his career.

“First, I reached a point where I cared so much and was so diligent in terms of approaching the work. Then you get to where you care so f****** much that it gets g*****beleaguering, you know?”

“But then a great thing happens. Suddenly you care enough to not give a f***, because not giving a f***, that’s the total liberation. Being game to try anything.”

“It’s like being a dog at the track,” Depp continued. “They expect you to live up to some race you happened to be in and won accidentally. From that first second, you’re nothing more than a commodity. They have expectations of another ‘Pirates’. It’s great if something works. Boy, that’s killer. But God, to have that as your design…it’s ugly, I think.”

Depp will soon be playing the big bad wolf in the upcoming film ‘Into the Woods’ while he is currently working in ‘Mortdecai’, Black Mass and ‘Alice In Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass’.

It is a bad moment for ‘Jack Sparrow’, who recently delivered a bizarre as well as slurred presentation speech during the Hollywood Film Awards. Nevertheless, we don’t imagine he’ll miss the chance to rehearse his golden days, whenever they return.
