Singer Michael Bublé has been crowned the “King of Christmas” by Spotify for the number of his holiday tracks that have topped the music streaming service.
At Christmas time, music stores get plenty of gifts by many singers who release holiday-themed songs or full records which definitely make a perfect gift for their fans.
Great classics such as ‘White Christmas’ and ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ have always been played during the Christmas season, but everyone waits for a new holiday song to help get into the holiday mood.
Most of the artists, from Madonna to Sam Smith to Band Aid have something to put in the market to enter the Christmas music list.
This year Canadian singer Bublé has joined the legendary Christmas Kings, which include Elvis Presley and Nat King Cole, as out of the top 20 holiday tracks on Spotify, 11 belong to him.
‘It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas’ dominates the list at No 1 for being this year’s most streamed holiday song.
According to CBC News, Spotify’s VP of global communications Angela Watts said in a statement that “his music helps spread Christmas cheer across the world”.
Blue Rodeo’s Greg Keelor has reportedly stated that “a Bublé record is for you to pour yourself a cocktail, put on a nice Prada suit, go to the mall to do some shopping and come back in your BMW and feel good about your life.”
The Christmas artist did quite well, so even though you don’t wear Prada and drive a BMW, you will probably love Bublé’s song anyway to help you get into the holiday spirit.
