Any plan for the last day of this year? If you’re up for a music party, it is time for you to get a move on it and organize your bash while getting in the mood for celebrating New Year’s Eve!

New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be complete without music. Of course the choice of your party will depend on the people you are going to party with, and the groove you’d like to listen to on the last night of the year. That sound will accompany you while waiting until midnight before uncorking the bottle, or bottles, to later continue celebrating after the ultimate New Year’s Eve 2015 countdown.

Whether you planned your night to be stylish, crazy or leisurely, you will enjoy it anyway as glance up for a choreographed fireworks display which will light the sky ablaze while the sound of music will echo all around you.

You will dance, share your hugs, kisses and glasses with your closest buddies and most probably with others around that you don’t even know, as spontaneous cheerfulness will welcome the year ahead.

If your answer to “What are you doing for the New Year’s Eve?”, the most common question at this time of the year, is “I don’t know”, don’t worry and don’t panic. Though you are an “under the wire” person, you are definitely going to celebrate in a backdrop of a music stage, and here is a list of the global array of concerts scheduled for the New Year’s Eve, summed up below just for you!

Vienna’s old city centre will transform into a party place with the New Year’s Eve Trail at City Hall Square and Prater Park. Several gastronomes will serve you punch and a wide culinary choice in the numerous stations where all kind of music artists will be included in the line-up of the show program that will make you party and dance from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m. the following morning.

And if you stay up until later, a morning “hangover cure” brunch will be held in front of the City Hall on New Year’s Day featuring the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Day concert.

Times Square, New York

If you are looking for an unforgettable celebratory event with large crowds, Times Square will definitely offer you one of the best parties everyone has been waiting for, with a star-studded full day of live music and guest appearances by the biggest celebrities. The massive annual gathering at Times Square on 31 December sees up to a million people every year. They enjoy the most extraordinary entertainment event while waiting for the ball drop. The ball is located at the top of Times Square and will begin to slowly descent down the specially designed flagpole at 11:59 p.m. until it reaches the bottom where it will set off spectacular fireworks.

Midnight celebration will be preceded by the annual television special ‘Dick Clark’s New Years’ Eve Rockin’ Eve’ with Ryan Seacrest. It is a five-and-a-half-hour countdown show that will be broadcast from Times Square and aired on ABC while covering the whole night’s event with live and pre-recorded musical performances by prominent acts from Times Square and Hollywood.

The line-up will include Taylor Swift, country duo Florida Georgia Line and Idina Menzel, with Jenny McCarthy reporting live from Times Square for the fourth year in a row.

Charlie XCX, Meghan Trainor with One Direction, Brantley Gilbert, Ella Henderson, Nick Jonas, Nico & Vinz, Train, Iggy Azalea, Bastille, Jason Derulo, Pentatonix and Rixton will join the party live from the Billboard Hollywood Party hosted by Fergie who will also perform.

Other performers of the night include Gavin DeGraw & Lady Antebellum who will both perform live from Nashville.

Rome

New Year’s Eve in Rome squares such as Piazza del Popolo and Circo Massimo will definitely be the most traditional Italian way to celebrate the change of the year in places which offer a breathtaking backdrop of renowned historic monuments.

Every year the amazing squares count throngs of people gathering at San Silvestro night (the Italian expression for New Year’s Eve) for their huge free public concerts featuring the most celebrated Italian and international rock, pop and classical musicians taking to the stage to whip up the thrilled crowds into a frenzy of excitement.

Abu Dhabi

One of the most spectacular parties and firework displays will be definitely held in Abu Dhabi, especially if we take into account the enormous success for NYE 2012 with Coldplay performing at a huge concert.

You will have the chance to attend a sensational New Year’s Eve concert on the Corniche breakwater as you enjoy an additional attraction. This year’s celebration will coincide with the third 2014-2015 Volvo Ocean Race stopover that Abu Dhabi will host from mid-December until 3 January.

Madrid

As part of the Spanish austerity measures, there are no plans for a large scale spectacular and choreographed firework display in Madrid for NYE 2014, though an impressive variety of parties and entertainment events are scheduled to take place at the numerous buzzing bars, restaurants and hotels. And of course large crowds will still gather in the central Puerto del Sol for the countdown, with the main party being held around the Casa de Correos building.

But before heading to Madrid be sure to bring some grapes with you as Spanish tradition includes eating twelve grapes as the clock strikes midnight, or to be more precise, one grape for each of the twelve chimes, each one bringing luck for each month of the year.

And if you are out in Madrid, make sure you can stay up late at night as parties are expected to last until dawn.

Best parties will be held in bars and clubs, so you better check out the long list of concerts they have to offer. Meanwhile we just look forward to the Winter Festival taking place on 1 January. It will be an electronic music festival which will be perfect for anyone who’s up for a loud music party.

‘Midnight Rodeo’ in Kansan City is another potential option for anyone who wants to celebrate with country stars Travis Marvin and Mr. Kristopher.
