An extra ‘happy’ performance will grace the stage of Dubai’s Meydan on 31 December this year as Pharrell Williams is booked to sing crowds in to the new year.
The day after the ‘Happy’ singer’s Middle East debut at Du Arena on 22 November, Williams announced his UAE return for a New Year’s Eve show in Dubai.

The four-day event took place at Du Arena in Abu Dhabi, kicking off on 20 November with Arab stars including Tamer Hosny, Carole Samaha, Mohammed Assaf and Fayez Alsaeed performing at the opening night.
Pharrell’s “failing”, sore throat may have hindered a spotless performance at the Grand Prix concert, but his voice will get a second chance at the NYE slot which will be broadcast live to more than 130 countries.
The ‘Happy’ hitmaker will be joined by a star-studded line-up including Busta Rhymes, Paul Oakenfold, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Charli XCX, rapper SkyBlu and DJ Seb Fontaine.
The New Year’s Eve party at Meydan Racecourse will also provide the audience with views of the celebrated Burj Khalifa’s fireworks display at midnight.
Tickets for the show, which will be Williams’ first ever solo performance in Dubai and the first regional one from DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, are already available at TicketMaster, Virgin Megastores, TimeOut Tickets and Platinum List.
