Tom Cruise’s latest death-defying stunt saw the actor flying over British airspace while hanging outside of an Airbus plane at 5,000 feet (1,500 metres).
The photos of Tom Cruise’s seemingly possible mission have appeared on The Daily Mail where the actor, playing the role of Ethan Hunt in ‘Mission Impossible 5’, clings outside an Airbus A400M.
According to the British newspaper, the actor performed the entire stunt hanging out of the aircraft flying over rural British airspace. He was secured by only two safety harnesses attached to the plane door which went underneath the tailored gray suit he was wearing, which matched with the dress shoes.

Being suspended from a plane probably won’t be the last incredible stunt that Cruise performs for the film series.

For 2011’s ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’, Cruise dangled 1,700 feet (500 metres) over Dubai while scaling outside of the Burg Khalifa skyscraper, the world’s tallest building.

During a press conference for ‘Ghost Protocol’, the star explained: “It’s something that I do because I feel for the audience, that they’ll really enjoy it more if they see me doing it in the camera. And I think that it adds a wonderful element of storytelling and that’s really the reason why we push ourselves both in telling the story and in doing those things to make it as exciting for the audience as possible.”
